OUR SOLUTIONS
Work ManagerWork Manager is designed to capture and cost all activities performed on your municipal assets. Work Manager acts as the integrator of information from many municipal software systems by:
With the costs associated with labor, material, and equipment configured, Work Manager creates budgets based on the actual costs of all work activities, and has this budget information instantly available and up to date as of the last work order completed. Work Manager also brings together engineering (activities) and finance (GL Distribution) at the click of your mouse from the work order level. This allows both parties to understand municipal operations in the format each is used to seeing. Being able to cost any activity, allocate it as required to the assets involved, and then post these costs as a lifecycle event ensures your asset valuations are accurate and always up to date. Work Manager has an automated process built to support this process with MDW and to Burnside's asset database. We have built an asset database model manager which supports the importation of assets into Work Manager. This process provides the ability to select which assets and which attributes associated with these assets you want in Work Manager. The last key integration for a full asset management solution is with your GIS. Direct IT has partnered with the Burnside Geomatics group to deliver a solution that will work with all the major industry solutions. We have embedded mapping controls directly into Work Manager, and by doing so have linked all municipal assets to a spatial view, regardless of whether they are in a Geo-database. In addition to its current ability to link assets, in the future, this simple but powerful solution will even be able to link other information such as building permits, inspections, by-law violations, contacts, and work activities to properties or assets for viewing and information purposes. |
